Angelina Jolie and John Vought

 

Angelina Jolie has not been communicating with her father, a famous actor and Oscar laureate, for 5 years already. The reason of final break-up is father’s meddling in Angelina’s private life - Vought allowed himself stating in public that she had mental problems after divorcing Billy Bob Thornton. Since that moment he learns about daughter’s life from papers and sometimes appeals to her feelings from TV screen, when he takes part in talk-shows or gives interview. Vought is worrying he still has not seen his three granddaughters.

 

 

 

When Brad Pitt sent a picture of Shiloh after her birth to a grandfather, Angelina excoriated boyfriend, stating that no one can meddle in her relations with father. Once she refused to go out of a car, after she knew John Vought was also invited for the party. Chances for their reconciliation are insignificant. “I do not hate him. I just do not want shedding a tear because of him or seeing my mother crying”, - actress admitted in one of interviews. It is known that Vought deserted Angelina’s mother, a French actress Marcheline Bertrand, when Angelina was just several months old.

 

Demi Moore and Virginia Guynes

 

Virginia Guynes made everything to estrange her own daughter from herself. A future Hollywood star Demi Moore experienced the first shock yet in childhood, when she knew that she was born because of her mother’s fleeting affair with a man that served time in prison for robbery later. Virginia herself was unsuccessfully struggling with her passion for alcohol and soporific for a long and promiscuous in affairs. After Demi broke away from her family, she still contacted with her mother - until Virginia started compromising her. She gave interviews gladly, in which she pitied: “Demi is cold, haughty and callous”. And in 1993 Virginia posed naked for High Society cover to attract attention. Demi could not forgive such shame to Virginia and reconciled with her mother only three months before her death - Virginia died of brain cancer in 1998.

 

Lindsey and Michael Lohan

 

A young American actress and singer Lindsey Lohan was worrying because of constant quarrels in her family so much, that, by her own admission, it nearly killed her. Endless scandals led to her parents’ divorce, and shortly before this fact, her father, a stockjobber Michael Lohan, was imprisoned for his father-in-law’s assault and battery. Lindsey spent two weeks in rehab with diagnosis “nervous and physical exhaustion”, and when she came out, she made a video “Confessions of a Broken-Hearted”, where she tried to conceive her attitude to father. “Why did you go? Tell me the truth: have you ever loved me?” - she asks. But Lindsey refuses to answer journalists’ questions whether she forgave her father.

 

Jennifer Anniston and Nancy Dow

 

Jennifer Anniston considers she’s a daddy’s daughter, although her father, actor John Anniston, deserted his family, when she was 9. Jen’s mom, actress Nancy Dow, made herself a carrier and earned living. She treated her daughter not very considerately, constantly criticizing her either for overweight or light squint. In 1996, when Jennifer already became a star due to “Friends” serial, Nancy performed on a talk-show with memories of Jennifer’s childhood. Three years later she issued a book called “From Mother and Daughter to Friends”, where she told about her daughter’s relationships with a Hollywood star Brad Pitt, not ignoring intimate details. Jen was terribly offended by her mother and reconciled with her only 9 years later - after she divorced Brad, she applied to her mom for help and sympathy. In an interview to Elle actress confessed: “I never thought divorce could reconcile me with my mother”.
