Kasabian are reluctant to talk about their drug-taking exploits because they don’t want their parents to find out about their antics.

Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno admit they use drugs but are worried their parents will read about it in the newspapers.

Meighan told Q magazine: “I wouldn’t want my parents to know, but they probably had some idea.”

Pizzorno added: “My mum’s going to love this one but I took my first ecstasy tablet when I was 20. She’s oblivious to what we get up to.

“I personally don’t get on with cocaine. I can’t speak for anyone else, but there aren’t many that don’t have a cheeky line now and again.”

Meighan revealed he used to take magic mushrooms in the park and get home at midnight.

He said: “I’d look at the lights for hours when I got in.”
