All best things in our life seem sweet. And most harmful too

All best things in our life seem sweet. And most harmful too. Most often we start paying attention to sweets closer to summer - when a beach season is approaching. Right at this time we start reprobating ourselves for excessive weakness for chocolate. Well, let’s examine, should we refuse ourselves in such small pleasures?

Myth 1. Sweets are brain friends

A piece of candy in the middle of a working day won’t be useless - it’s definitely. As brain cells eat only glucose, they are very sensitive to its content in blood. And lack of grey matter nutrition affects its work immediately. However, you should not think that in this case quantity passes to quality. Quite the contrary, excess of sweets will cause drowse and affect work negatively.

Myth 2. Sugar is vitamin of joy

“White” death, - doctors state. “But it’s so pleasant!”, - opponents cry. But, at the same time, those who drink tea with three spoons of sugar should know that first of all sugar lowers supply of vitamin B1 in organism. The less vitamin B1 you receive - the higher risk of neurasthenia, depression, quick tiredness and muscle weakness is. How do you like such outlook?

Myth 3. Sweeteners help to lose weight

Although sweeteners contain almost no calories, there’re still many debates concerning their influence of health. Thus, for example, there’re researches, proving, that taking sweeteners lowers immunity. And members of British Parliament even stated about their intention to prohibit usage of aspartame, as it contains carcinogens.

There’re also other quite disputable publications, saying that people add some sweeteners to pigs’ allowance to stimulate their appetite. So, it’s you to decide: whether you should refuse from sugar and proceed to such “alternative”.

Myth 4. Chocolate: tasty, but harmful

We are hurrying to gladden those who love black dainty. More and more experts are engaged into its rehabilitation recently. Thus, there’s information, saying that 100 g of bitter chocolate improve work of vessels in adult person and protect vessels from destroying influence of free radicals at least during 3 hours.

So, next time you reach for a chocolate bar, don’t scourge yourself for weak will. Probably, you are taking care of your health unconsciously.

Myth 5. Chocolate constipations

Many chocolate lovers are seriously frightened that painful retribution in the form of constipations threatens them after gastronomic banquet. It may happen, if you eat nothing except chocolate. But if you eat the right way, then you can allow yourself such small pleasure.

Myth 6. Banana fast-food

Banana is an ideal product for a snack: it is wonderfully digestible, contains potassium 9what is especially useful for heart sufferers), contributes to taking out of excessive liquid from organism, satisfies hunger quickly.
At the same time dietitians treat banana excesses very carefully, putting them close to white bread and other prohibited products cruelly. Moreover, due to excessive quantity of sucrose (and absence of fructose and glucose) bananas are contra-indicated for people, suffering from diabetes.

Myth 7. These useful dried fruits

Dietitians are unanimous: dried fruits contain almost all wholesome substances. However, dried fruits represent more concentrated variant of “live” ones. That’s why main thing while eating dried fruits is moderation and accuracy. Thus, for example, it is recommended to eat no more than 4-6 dates per day.
Myth 8. Sweets - only for a dessert!   In fact, sweets can play a  role of a peculiar anti-aperitif, calming canine appetite. If you missed a meal, eat a piece of chocolate, couple of candies, a piece of pie, ice-cream. This will quicken blood saturation with glucose, reduces sense of hunger and protect from overeating.
