1. Reduction of calories leads to quicker weight loss. It is not true! While abrupt reduction of nutrition your stomach “thinks” you’re just dying of hunger and starts accumulating weight urgently!
 
2. The stricter a diet is, the better. Eating same food all the time (for example, cabbage soup), you will feel uncomfortable. And you will just hate cabbage in a week. Do you need this? Choose more loyal diets.
 
3. You need to refuse from your favorite, but unhealthy products. Sooner or later you will yield to temptation and eat an ice-cream or cake. It’s ok, this won’t bring you harm. But only in small quantities!
 
4. Don’t eat after 6 pm. In fact, quantity of food you eat and your way of living are important, not time of your eating. If you ate at 7 pm, and went to bed at midnight, then everything is ok. Moreover, if your supper was light.
 
5. Don’t snack between meals. It is not true! Light snack won’t bring you harm. It’s better to eat cracker or apple, than sitting and thinking about food constantly. You should better think about something pleasant.  
 
6. Fat is harmful. In principle, it is. But it’s useful in small quantities and you should necessarily include it in your allowance. And some fats are really useful, for example the ones, contained in sea food. So, eat fish.
 
7. If you miss a meal, you will lose weight. Quite the contrary. You metabolism is broken, and you become very hungry. Plus you won’t receive proper quantity of vitamins. So it’s better to eat more often, but in small portions.
 
8. Butter is a harmful product. You can use non-fat sorts of butter and low-calorie dairy produce. Moreover, they contain calcium, necessary for our organism.  
 
9. You need to have strong will-power to grow thin. Yes, will-power plays its role. But your weight mostly depends on your genetic predisposition, health, environment, level of activity.  
 
10. Much water will help you to lose weight. Drinking big quantity of water won’t lead to weight loss. It is useful for health, but there is no information, confirming that people lost weight due to water. Probably, they just replaced high-calorie juices or aerated water by usual drinking-water.
