Lohan Angers Australian Award Show Organisers

Australian event organisers for the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards are furious with Lindsay Lohan after she agreed to appear at the ceremony, but now has apparently pulled out at the last minute.

Despite early claims that Lohan would appear at Wednesday night’s show (11Oct06), organisers have been left hanging after Lohan’s representatives ignored requests to send back a signed contract to confirm her appearance.

Organisers are describing the negotiations as a “debacle,” with one insider telling the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, “That woman, you could tear your hair out with her.

“We finally pulled the plug on her, so we’re progressing without her in place. But I guess we can’t really say either way, because if we get a last-minute phone call, it’s not as though we’re going to say no.”

The Kids’ Choice management team had set a final deadline for Lohan to agree to a contract by Thursday of last week (05Oct06), but Lohan’s management has not responded to the deadline.

A source adds, “No contracts were signed by our final deadline. It’s so hard to know what’s actually happening.”

Meanwhile Lohan insists she will only calm down her party lifestyle when her mum Dina tells her she’s going too far.
 
The 20-year-old has come under fire from Hollywood executives and co-stars for the effect her sociable lifestyle has on her professional conduct.

But Lohan is adamant she is positively clean-living compared to many young actresses.

She says, “It’s up to me and my mum to decide if I am partying too much I am an angel compared to some of my friends.”
