Sunflower seeds will keep you young!
It’s time to learn that sunflower seeds are a wholesome product! Firstly, because they slow down the process of ageing
This product is rich in vegetable fats and fat-soluble vitamins - A, D and E. Polyunsaturated fatty acids, contained in vegetable oil, contribute to reduction of blood cholesterol level and slow down processes of ageing. However, because of abundance of vegetable fat it’s not desirable to eat big quantity of sunflower seeds while overweight and adiposity. Secondly, there’re lots of weight loss diets, containing eating sunflower seeds. Here’s a recipe of an unusual pie, which is both wholesome and tasty!
Raw pie
Pastry:
1 glass of almonds (soaked for 12-48 hours beforehand)
2 glasses of sunflower seeds (soaked for 6-8 hours)
glass of fig (better raw, but you can soak dry one)
1 tea spoon of cinnamon.
Grind everything in a blender. Firstly nuts, then, when they are crushed, add fig, then cinnamon. Press paste in some baking pan.
Filling:
4 glasses of apples cut thin
1 tea spoon of cinnamon
2 table spoons of lemon juice
1,5 glass of walnuts (soaked for 6-8 hours and grinded with a knife).
Grind all ingredients, except walnuts, in a blender firstly, then add walnuts. Don’t keep walnuts in a blender for a long, grind them only slightly. Then put everything in a baking pan on top on paste and put in fridge. Pie will become much tastier, if you spread honey on its top. So, don’t to represent sunflower seeds in an unfavourable light, just try to moderate your appetite.
