Earlier this year, I decided to join slim ladies club again. I’ve already tried aerobics, swimming and dancing. In the midst of my rushing, my friend called and offered to go to a fitness club. And that happened.

Beginning of exercises

I was preparing for the first workout as for a rendezvous with my beloved. I tried on all possible options with a sports suit, studied myself in the mirror for a long, as if trying to make an impression on a coach, like a little bit of sports girl. And the long-awaited hour came: we go down to the gym. First impression - Wow, how many things they have! Iron structures of most various forms proudly towered above us, beckoning to the wonderful art of sport. The desire to work out something overtakes immediately.

We quickly changed clothes, dressed in sports clothes, and the coach took us to fitness machines. Tour of the gym looked like a childhood. You follow a woman, who patiently explains you some kind of strange things, and why they are needed. In the end, after a long but necessary explanations, we started the first lesson. I must say it was fun! I especially liked foot fitness machine. You lie on your back and lift a certain weight with your legs. This is actually pretty hard, if you hang some weight plates on it. But I had enough of empty simulator. “You can remove all weight plates” - the coach told me in front of each fitness machine. That’s how I initially did. No weight plates.

Groupthink

Turning now to the first training, I can say I hardly remember them. My eyes were clouded by sweat, I was always attracted to yawn and lie down at the nearest trainer. On the third workout I just tried to flee. Generally, the first five sessions were the most severe. Morning after a workout everything sore in my body: arms, legs, fingers, press.

However, sports group is like Alcoholics Anonymous - all carefully watch each other and persuade to continue, because they, too, “went through this.”

Pain in muscles - it’s not so bad! The worst thing for me - a daily struggle with myself. After all, going to the gym after a hard working day is also a kind of heroic deed! Moreover, the girlfriend, which led me to the gym, somehow ceased going there very quietly. She threw me to the mercy of coach and various iron things! I must say engaging in fitness was not only difficult, but … boring. We used to chat with a friend earlier, during break between sets, but now, when she left me alone with the sport, it became quite sad.

I was lonely nozzling in the corner, looking askance at those “athletes” around me. Several times I tried to instill love of sports to: a) husband and b) brother c) another friend. But after a single visit to the gym, they also evaporated from there forever. And I stubbornly continued my training in splendid isolation …

Specific program

What exactly was included in an exercise program, which exhausted me so much? Imagine a gym, where there are about nine species of only “female” fitness machines. In addition, three of them - for press and oblique abdominal muscles. One and a half to two hours in a fitness center three times a week - quite a decent load for a girl that was never seriously involved into sport.

But in general, it was possible to vary the load, depending on the result you aspire to. For example, instead of sweating on the trainer to strengthen calves, make one more set on another simulator for waist … In between loads you can drink mineral water, but a little, two or three sips. And, of course, the coach would not let us standing still: even during rest, she strongly recommended to do something like a warm-up: waving hands, feet work.

Another important point during training is proper breathing. If you do not know, or coach did not say, remember you should exhale during effort, and breathe the air, respectively, after. It really helps a lot: you get tired less, and the breath is not broken.

Regarding the diet, I did not get any special recommendations from our coach. Naturally, a meal - about two hours before and after training … but this is only if you come to the gym to lose weight, not to build muscles. Otherwise, you should eat as much as possible, especially after exercise. Basically, this rule applies to men, because they come to lift iron precisely in order to become big and strong. And we, fragile girl, are recommended to eat less, and only yogurt or seafood. But a lot depends on your will power …

Willpower

And if inches in my waist still were not going to diminish, then other changes exactly happened. I began to feel strength of will growing in me. This is also a muscle. Disgusting and capricious.

It gave me great rescues. I remember when I noticed that I can, it turns out, not to absorb tons of chocolate and cakes. Not to borrow money for the purchase of the most cherished blouse. Do not ask him: “When will you call back? Be more precise. Let’s compare notes!”. I was easy to get up in the morning, I felt active, agile and athletic. I refused to whine of magnetic storms of varying severity.

I easily picked up papers dropped by secretary and deftly avoided collision with a clumsy waiter’s tray. And I smiled a lot. And delighted surrounding with my consistently good mood. However, despite all these changes, I was worried about one thing: why I do not see any results in my body?

Philosophy

As I have said, engaging in the gym is quite boring. You walk in a circle from one fitness machine to another, mechanically carrying out a complex of exercises, lag in the locker room…

And during sessions you think about life. For example, working out press, I thought that my life was meaningless. I came to this conclusion through long inference I concluded walking the gym between simulators.

Of course, then (after training), I found the lost sense, but a sense of meaninglessness of my training did not leave me. In the end, I came to a conclusion sex was my best sport. First, sex is never boring. Secondly, the person whom I am going to do it with will not give up the training (as my girlfriend did). And finally, thirdly, even if I have pain after sex - this is pleasant pain! And I gladly bear it.

I read in some magazine that we burn calories during sex. And dealing with it is very useful for health. Complexion is improved, nerves calm down, state of the spirit - cheerful, smile - from ear to ear! And, in general, can embrace with a loved one be compared with any trainers?

Final

So, I visited the gym for two and a half month. I know it’s very little to ensure there are any results. The coach told me that constantly. But I’m the kind of person who immediately wants to see his victory. Therefore, fitness machines are not for me. In won in this unequal struggle between me and the simulator. But now I know exactly what I kind of sports I want to be engaged in. No, this is not what you think! (although sex is also very important in order to stay in shape). My choice - aerobics.

Once I went to aerobics, but then our teacher left, and we refused exercising. Perhaps, of all kinds of sports loads aerobic is the most cheerful and active. First, there is no time to rest and talk. Secondly, you just do not have time to be bored! And most importantly - you feel the results and notice them right away. And yet, I realized that before you go to some sports section, you need to accurately determine what you want: lose weight,  gain weight, work out, “create” waist or reduce hips. And choose sports depending on this.

But whatever your choice is, remember one thing: sports is the greatest gift! You need to be engaged in it, at least sometimes, even forcing yourself. And when you are engaged, you will understand how good it is to be a sporty girl. Here you are walking down the street in an elastic gait, straightening shoulders and tucking stomach. You sit straight at the computer, dancing to exhaustion, and all surrounding men are ready to sing your figure. Is not that what women want?
