Scent from childhood
The most popular aromatic plant, known to us since childhood, is Pelargonium odoratis (apple geranium). For a long time it was placed in bedrooms to improve sleep. All kinds of this plant have absolutely different scents: roundhead and redolent Pelargonium smell like rose, crisped one smells like lemon, nectarean has a smell of nutmeg, pannose one smells like mint.

Care about pelargonium comes to observation of several simple rules. It’s light-requiring and requires direct sun. Watering should be abundant, but not frequent, avoid overwetting. Spraying is not required. You can replant geranium only when its pot will become too small for it. Young sprouts are pinched to increase branchiness.

Earlier pelargonium was only sprigged (you don’t need to cover them or use phyto-hormones), now you can grow many new sorts from seeds.

Savory, thyme, nepeta, mint, lavender and laurel are most popular. Scent of well-known mint helps to escape mental tiredness, mess in thoughts.

Scent of spring

One hyacinth flower is enough to fill your room with exciting aroma. It will make you believe that spring has come already. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see them blossoming for the second time, only fresh, sappy bulbs are always used for forcing. But you can plant this flower in outdoor bed after blossoming. You need to dry out bulb and keep until autumn planting.

Flavoured liana
Flowers of Hoya carnosa or wax plant have very strong aroma. This is a chic liana with glossy leaves. Its flowers are uncommonly beautiful and look like artificial. And at the same time wax plant is absolutely unpretentious. This is a shade-enduring and drought-resistant plant, is easily sprigged.

However, too much water drowned the miller, too strong scent stops being pleasant. Ventilate room regularly, so that flowers aroma would be always delicate and fresh. Avoid clash of two or several fragrant plants, place them in different rooms, to be able to value each one individually.
