Whatever desired pregnancy is, it brings not only joy, but also excitement, fears. These fears are quite natural, some of them can be coped with beforehand.
During pregnancy, breast «requires» anxious attitude
During pregnancy, special attention should be paid to breast health. Indeed, even the smallest tumor can begin growing. Non-operated fibroadenoma (benign tumor) can overlap breast ducts, disturb lactation and provoke occurrence of mastitis and other dangerous diseases.
Why should you go to a breast physician?
Unfortunately, a trip to breast physician is a rare thing every woman, who has decided to give birth to a child, does. However, breast physician’s advice during pregnancy is necessary for all women. Breast physician will tell not only about breast care during this important period. He will also teach how to properly feed ababy, prevent milk stagnation, avoid nipple trauma during breastfeeding, and much else a future mother needs to know. And most importantly - he will make a survey! If a doctor finds any pathology in women younger than 40 years, he sends her to mammary glands ultrasonography. All women aged over 40 years, regardless of complaints, are sent to a mammogram (breast X-ray). However, one should be careful with mammography - it can be done only 2-3 months before pregnancy.

Be sure to visit breast physician, if:
* you had repeated abortions or miscarriages;
* you had or have thyroid disorders, ovarian cysts, uterine myomas, breast fibroadenoma, or mastopathy;
* your first pregnancy occurred after 30 years.Useful advice
Breast is a very vulnerable and fragile part of the body, which requires a more anxious attitude during this important period.
Tan
Sunbathing with an open breast is not recommended at all - strong sun’s rays are harmful to delicate breast skin. Be especially careful with sun treatment during pregnancy and lactation period: firstly, it is not too useful, and secondly, sunburn can trigger occurrence of pigment spots.
Hairs
Many women are very concerned about appearance of breast hairs during pregnancy. They removal is still disputable. If they really bother you too much, you can remove them with tweezers, ensure there is no skin inflammation.
Lingerie
Too strong breast constriction is also bad, because during the entire pregnancy mammary glands prepare for their post-natal function - feeding. Breast becomes heavier and increases, therefore, one needs to wear a comfortable bra that supports, but does not embarrass breast. The most comfortable bra is the one that allows baring one side of breast - a woman will be able use it also after birth, while lactation. Bras should be changed from time to time, depending on changes in breast size. The right bra is a guarantee that breast will not become sagged subsequently.
Procedures
Quite often you can hear a recommendation rub nipples with a rough towel. In practice, its implementation often leads to nipple skin irritation and formation of cracks even before the start of lactation. In addition, this procedure stimulates the release of hormone oxytocin, which causes contractions of the uterus. And while breastfeeding this phenomenon allows the uterus quickly coming to standard, during pregnancy such contractions are not helpful. They raise pregnant uterus tone and can trigger premature labor in late pregnancy.
Breast affusion with cold water is only useful in conjunction with the whole body affusion, but it is meaningless as a separate procedure. Numerous studies have not confirmed a view that breast cold water treatment increases lactation.
Breast care creams
To prevent stretch marks, use special creams that will help you preventing or reducing their occurrence, as well as to maintain breast firmness. Apply them on breast area using massaging movements.
