Scientists finally found out an accurate dependence between weight of pregnant woman and her baby. Maximum possible quantity of kgs a future mum can gain, without threatening thus to baby health, was established.

In USA they carried out a large-scale research with participation of 40 000 women and their children. It appeared that every fifth future mum gains too many superfluous kgs, what doubles risk of development of baby adiposity in 2 times.

A woman can gain maximum 18 kg during pregnancy. If a future mum gains bigger weight, her child, most likely, will be born already with overweight.

20 % of pregnant women who gained too much weight, gave birth to a baby with weight more than 4 kg. Children of such women suffer from adiposity in 30 % cases.

And if a woman had no excess weight during pregnancy, the risk of children adiposity development makes only 13,5 %.
